MTSI is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and implement secure, scalable cloud-based solutions supporting mission-critical defense programs. This role requires expertise in modern cloud platforms, DoD cloud security frameworks, and multi-domain architectures. The ideal candidate will work across engineering, security, and mission teams to develop robust and resilient cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions supporting multi-level classified environments.
  • Develop and enforce architecture standards, governance frameworks, and compliance with DoD cloud policies (e.g., SRG, IL5/IL6).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and mission assurance across cloud-hosted environments.
  • Integrate cloud solutions with legacy systems, DevSecOps pipelines, and cyber security tools.
  • Conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement in cloud security posture.
  • Author system documentation including architecture diagrams, CONOPS, and compliance artifacts.


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture or systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms in a classified or DoD setting.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Knowledge of DoD cloud security requirements and experience implementing IL5/IL6 environments.
  • Familiarity with automation, orchestration tools, and containerized workloads.


Desired
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or similar.
  • Experience supporting multi-domain operations or mission-critical programs.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Exposure to cloud migration, legacy system modernization, or cross-domain solutions.
