Join Our Team as a Senior Systems Administrator!

At the heart of our mission, the Senior Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that today's systems are secure and tomorrow's solutions are smarter. We are looking for a TS/SCI cleared, with a Full Scope Polygraph Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team in McLean-Langley, VA, supporting our intelligence customer as the site lead.

Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing the overall functionality and security of IT systems in support of mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Systems Administration & Management: Oversee desktop and server systems, ensuring their integration with local and wide-area networks, and manage critical system functions, including account monitoring, security, and OS installation.
• Hands-On IT Support: Support IT systems operations by troubleshooting and maintaining client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more. Diagnose and resolve issues on a Tier 2/3 level for Unix/Windows workstations, servers, web servers, and network-attached storage.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform software installations, upgrades, and maintain systems in line with established policies. Provide timely resolutions for both hardware and software issues impacting system functionality.
• Disaster Recovery & Data Integrity: Manage databases, ensure security and data integrity, and develop and test backup and recovery plans.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce system security measures to meet STIG guidelines, utilizing tools like Retina and HBSS to ensure full system protection.
• 24/7 Mission Support: Provide critical support on a rotating on-call basis, being prepared to respond quickly to system issues and escalate as needed.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work with internal teams and customers to coordinate scheduled maintenance, provide status updates, and communicate any issues to agency management.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience & Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with 8+ years of hands-on experience in system administration or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Certifications: Security+ certification (or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent) within 90 days of hire.
• Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance required, with a Full Scope Polygraph.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Unix, Windows, or Storage administration; familiarity with trouble reporting and tracking systems; experience with system upgrades, maintenance, and security enforcement.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage complex situations under pressure while ensuring high system uptime.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 20% to local sites and be on-call for after-hour support.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Imagery Intelligence Experience: Previous experience working with imagery intelligence is a plus.
• Scripting Skills: The ability to create and modify scripts for Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of database, network, and system administration, as well as experience with technologies like Window Server, Red Hat, IRIX, and Sybase.
• Team Spirit: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Additional Requirements: Must have a valid U.S. passport.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves light physical activity, including lifting equipment (up to 40 pounds).

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $140-160k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
