Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - TS/SCI Clearance

**Active TS/SCI Clearance + FS Polygraph required**

Elucidation Concepts, an independently owned subsidiary of SSAI, is seeking a skilled and experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our growing team supporting critical national security missions. As an ISSO with Elucidation Concepts, you will help safeguard complex systems and environments for our federal customers by maintaining robust security postures, ensuring compliance, and driving a culture of security excellence. In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting and maintaining the security of information systems in customer environments. You will support programs, organizations, systems, or enclaves by proposing, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. You will maintain an operational security posture, support daily security operations, and contribute to security authorization activities to ensure our systems meet rigorous ODNI and DoD standards.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate security solutions to ensure compliance with security requirements for processing classified information.
• Support Configuration Management (CM) for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.
• Maintain comprehensive records for system components, including workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, switches, and more.
• Propose, coordinate, and implement information systems security policies and best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Security Authorization in alignment with ODNI and DoD policies.
• Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining the operational Cybersecurity posture for assigned systems or programs.
• Develop and update system security plans and other Cybersecurity documentation.
• Track and manage user identification and authentication for information systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement IT security programs and controls to meet mission requirements.
• Assess and manage the security impacts of system changes.
• Engage with customers, technical teams, and leadership to meet Cybersecurity objectives.
• Provide support to senior ISSOs and contribute to a high-performing security team.

Qualifications:

Clearance Requirement:

• TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (active).

Skill Level:

• Level 2

Experience:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of combined work-related experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or Security Authorization.
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, encryption tools/techniques, commercial security products, security incident management, or PKI and authorization services.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or IT Engineering.
• In lieu of a degree, an additional four (4) years of work-related experience may be substituted.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with at least IAM Level I certification is required.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
