The SME:
Translates Government requirements into project plans from configuration to deployment and sustainment for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems) and assist other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; and modeling and simulation.
SMEs are authorities on past and current technologies necessary for mission success in hostile areas.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required in addition to four (4) years of experience in collection, processing, and distribution technology.
- Eight (8) years of experience in collection, processing, and distribution technology can be substituted for a bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience.
- Four years of demonstrated experience in:
- Configuring and maintaining at least four high-end Cisco products such as: CISCO 1004 ASR; Cisco 1006 ASR; Cisco 7600 routers; Cisco 6500 switches; Cisco 3900 routers; Cisco 3800 routers Cisco 3700 switches; Cisco 3800 switches; Cisco 3900 switches; Cisco call manager 4.1 or higher, Cisco Unity
- Network management and performance monitoring tools such as: Cisco Prime WhatsUpGold, HPNA, NetCollector, and NetPlanner.
- HAIPE encryption
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
