Description
Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking an Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) to designing, implementing, and validating cybersecurity measures across evolving range infrastructure. The ISSE ensures all system modifications and deployments comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements, supports RMF accreditation efforts, and collaborates with engineering and operations teams to embed security throughout the system lifecycle. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing and reviewing security documentation (e.g., SSPs, POA&Ms), and supporting testing and validation to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cyber range systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute cybersecurity engineering tasks to secure systems in accordance with DoD RMF requirements.
- Utilize to document and track RMF processes, including system controls, assessments, and authorizations.
- Monitor vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts to mitigate risks.
- Conduct security assessments, including evaluating controls and documenting compliance findings.
- Prepare and update cybersecurity documentation, such as System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs) and program managers
- Support continuous monitoring activities to ensure sustained system compliance and security.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Meets Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification requirements (e.g., CAP, CISSP, CISM, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity programs strongly desired.
- Strong understanding of DoD RMF and cybersecurity policies.
- Proficiency in vulnerability management, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
