Job Description:
Join a dynamic team shaping the future of air dominance as a Mission Systems Engineer supporting Boeing’s T-7A Red Hawk program. This role is critical in the developmental flight test phase, integrating and verifying mission systems capabilities on one of the U.S. Air Force’s most advanced trainer aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
Support flight test planning, execution, and post-mission analysis focused on integrated mission systems (communications, sensors, radar, etc.)
Serve as a liaison between system design teams and flight test operations to ensure mission systems meet performance, safety, and test requirements.
Develop and review test plans, procedures, and instrumentation requirements for mission systems evaluations.
Operate as part of the ground control team during live flight test events, providing real-time monitoring of mission systems telemetry and supporting test execution from the control room.
Analyze flight test data to verify system functionality and performance against technical specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (avionics, software, flight test, systems engineering) to troubleshoot issues and drive resolutions in a timely manner.
Document findings and contribute to test reports, technical briefings, and certification documentation.
Ensure mission systems comply with airworthiness and safety standards during test activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field.
Active Secret Security Clearance
5+ years of experience in mission systems engineering, systems integration, or avionics-related roles.
Experience supporting flight test programs and working with instrumentation, telemetry, and data analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of MIL-STD avionics protocols, system verification techniques, and test data interpretation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering and flight operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with Boeing air platforms or U.S. Air Force aircraft programs.
Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and related toolsets.
Experience working in developmental flight test or test ranges (Edwards AFB, Pax River, etc.)
