This position offers a unique chance to serve in a military medical setting and contribute to lifesaving efforts through blood collection and processing.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a NAACLS or ABHES-accredited MLT program (or acceptable to AMT)
- Certified as an MLT by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical lab (e.g., hematology, microbiology, blood bank, etc.)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing, blood collection, and component preparation
- Interview and screen donors according to FDA and SOP guidelines
- Operate and maintain lab and apheresis equipment
- Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and data entry of blood products
- Support mobile blood drives and maintain supply inventory
- Follow all safety and quality control protocols
