Test & Evaluation Engineer 2 - Automated Systems Testing

Location: El Segundo, CA

Salary Range: 50-65/hr

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure and Automated Tools Engineer to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in both factory and launch environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with cutting-edge technology.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly on W2
• Work with Product Security, Software and IT engineers to execute the Infrastructure and Tools team scope of work
• Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment
• Works with the Infrastructure Manager to help transform the existing Test IT Infrastructure and Tools.
• Setup of infrastructure tools and environments such as Servers, Virtual Machine, Storage, Network/Firewall.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Holds a Security Certification
• 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in Mix Unix/Linux and Windows, Client, NAS/SAN Storage environment
• 5 or more years leading technical teams
• An active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance and current Tier 5 (T5)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Security, Software, and IT engineers to execute the Infrastructure and Tools team scope of work
• Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment
• Assist in transforming the existing Test IT Infrastructure and Tools
• Design networks and complex IT Infrastructure, including redundancy and disaster recovery systems
• Contribute to initiatives to upgrade existing infrastructure and lead the adoption of the latest technologies, including virtualization and automation
• Implement best practices to manage a network server room
• Lead the team to develop engineering documentation and processes to reduce waste and maximize repeatability
• Setup of infrastructure tools and environments such as Servers, Virtual Machines, Storage, Network/Firewall
• Champion Lab Excellence initiatives to continuously improve the server room environment
• Work in a hands-on lab environment with a variety of different types of test equipment
