Virtual Server Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Virtual Server Administrator in Quantico, VA

Responsibilities of the Virtual Server Administrator include:

• Conduct daily server health checks, generate detailed reports, and proactively address any alerts or system errors with effective solutions.
• Verify that system backups are completed in alignment with customer requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures across all systems, networks, and users. Promptly address and remediate any compliance issues.
• Investigate vulnerabilities identified through Retina security scans and apply appropriate patches to mitigate risks.
• Maintain system security by applying patches and implementing controls in accordance with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), Operational Directives (OpDirs), and DISA security standards.
• Manage and monitor virtual environments using VMware vSphere vCenter and SCCM, including ESXi and AHV hosts, datastore clusters, and virtual machines (VMs).
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to USMC hardware and software to ensure compliance with DISA security requirements.
• Oversee the performance, maintenance, and upgrades of NIPRNET and SIPRNET network servers and associated storage hardware.
• Utilize the Remedy Ticketing System to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, document actions taken, and escalate tickets when necessary.

Qualifications for the Virtual Server Administrator include:

· 5 years of IT experience

· Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

· Experience with Virtual Machines, Sys Administration, VmWare

· VMWare Certified Technical Associate or VMWare Certified Administrator Certification (VCTA or VCA)

· Ability to obtain VMWare Certified Professional Certificate within 6 months

Compensation for the Virtual Server Administrator include:

· Salary : $70,000-85,000 **Depending on Experience and Education Level**
