Position Summary
Northern Technologies Group (NTG) is seeking a qualified Systems Analyst II to support the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) within its Special Access Program Information Technology (SAP IT) environment. The Systems Analyst II will apply analytical and technical skills to evaluate and improve enterprise IT systems, architectures, and processes across highly classified programs. The position supports modernization, data integration, and cybersecurity compliance through structured analysis and stakeholder collaboration.

Position Summary

The Systems Analyst II will apply analytical and technical skills to evaluate and improve enterprise IT systems, architectures, and processes across highly classified programs. The position supports modernization, data integration, and cybersecurity compliance through structured analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze business, engineering, or security requirements to improve enterprise systems and architectures across classified networks.
- Support the design, implementation, and optimization of IT systems in areas such as:
- System lifecycle support
- Business process automation
- Data integration and visualization
- Cybersecurity control alignment
- Review and document user requirements, workflows, and system interactions to support RMF and A&A processes.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies or technical risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Assist in defining technical requirements, functional specifications, and system interfaces.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into system capabilities.
- Contribute to the documentation of system designs, updates, and security artifacts.
- Support test case development, system validation, and troubleshooting of implementation issues.
- Work with enterprise teams to standardize data and system architecture across SAP IT environments.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Active Top Secret/ SCI (TS/SCI) federal security clearance with eligibility for SAP access
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of related cybersecurity experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) enterprise systems
- Familiarity with systems analysis tools and modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML)
- Working knowledge of RMF and cybersecurity principles
- Strong documentation skills and ability to produce clear technical diagrams and reports
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, JIRA, or Confluence
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
