About the Role:

Aquila is seeking a Solutions Architect t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for systems support/systems analyst and will respond to tickets for issue resolution and will do configuration for enhancements etc. The selected candidate will be expected to understand the financial processes, document requirements and translate them into SAP system configurations. When an advanced level of support is required, the candidate will be expected to translate the requirements for the development of functional and technical specifications for handoff to the Level Three (L3) team. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of SAP FICO modules, strong analytical skills, and experience providing operational support for SAP environments.

There are a few requirements for the position:
  • Must be a U.S Citizen- Must be able to obtain an an Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
  • Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA) on-site 1-2 days a quarter.

  • 5 years - Defining scope of the configuration management process
  • 5 years - Prepares configuration control documents
  • 5 years - Program/Project Management OR Analysis
  • 5 years - Reviewing Specification Requirements
  • 5 years - Translates Business Requirements into Technical Specifications
  • 5 years - Software Tools
  • 5 years - Experience with congfiguration of SAP S/4 modules
  • 5 years - S/4 Hana experience
  • 5 years - S/4 operational support experience
  • 5 years - SAP FICO operation support experience
  • 5 years - Determine Systems Specifications
  • 5 years - Systems Analysis
  • 5 years - Systems Configuration

Nice to Have
  • Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support run operations of SAP S/4 environment with specific focus on the operations of the Finance organization.
  • Support month-end closing process including completing error analysis and resolution.
  • Understand desired outcomes, gather and document requirements
  • Complete moderate level of configuration in support of daily run operations.
  • Participate in process optimization discussions, root cause analysis discussions and offer solutioning guidance as appropriate.
  • Support Finance transformational efforts with solution discussion, design, and delivery support.
  • Guide testing efforts for new solutions and train as needed.
  • Act as a functional subject matter expert for the Record to Report (R2R) process; journal entry, accounts reconciliation, financial closing, and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5 years of SAP FICO operational support experience.
  • 2 years of S/4 Hana experience
  • Experience in leading/documenting requirements through to configuration delivery

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FICO module, including configuration and testing.
  • Experience with financial accounting and reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and user-facing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.
  • SAP FICO certification is highly desirable.

This position is a systems support/systems analyst that is responding to tickets for issue resolution and will do configuration for enhancements etc.

Clearance Level: Interim clearance is sufficient for start

Location: This position can be virtual (within 100 miles of the Lab). The person should expect to be onsite 1 or 2 times a quarter and will onboard in person. Do not send candidates outside the 100 mile radius.
