Title: Executive Leadership Development Analyst

Location: Washington, D.C.

Security Clearance: Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)

Salary: $38/hour

Schedule: Part-time. Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent.

Job Summary:

Supports the development and implementation of Inspection Service Executive and Leadership Development (ELD) initiatives aligned with Inspection Service mission and business priorities by applying knowledge and understanding of related principles and practices gained from studies and experience within industrial-organizational (I/O) psychology and/or human resources management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with manager to review project plans; develops an understanding of project assignments including goals, tasks, deadlines, and key stakeholders. Communicates updates and project developments as needed.
  • Applies I/O psychology and/or human resources management principles, practices, and methodologies to assigned projects; develops project-related materials using human resources, management, or organizational theories and applications. Prepares project summaries and recommendations for review.
  • Develops documents, files, and deliverables as needed for assigned projects. Writes instructions, records activities, and verifies accuracy and comprehensiveness of information with stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve project goals. Interacts via email, telephone, and/or in-person or virtual meetings to support the project and deliverables.
  • Supports the preparation and facilitation of meetings, working sessions, and focus groups to collect and compile project-related data and information.
  • Researches, collects, and analyzes data to support project planning and the development of materials and documentation.
  • Develops project deliverables aligned with assignment objectives. Compiles data and prepares reports. Synthesizes information into presentations. Documents research findings and project activities in technical reports.


Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and enrolled in or completed master's degree program within industrial-organizational (I/O) psychology and/or human resources management.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing sufficient to express thoughts and ideas to internal and external audiences;
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor projects;
  • Ability to schedule and meet project deliverables, review project progress, and recommend changes in methodology where necessary;
  • Ability to identify vulnerabilities associated with a wide variety of projects and programs;
  • Experience in executive and non-executive development and/or human resources projects or programs and with demonstrated ability to deliver results through strategic insight, creative problem-solving, and innovative approaches that go beyond simply completing project tasks.
  • Relevant experience including but not limited to knowledge of analytical techniques and research instruments; and experience in gathering, analyzing and evaluating data and research to assist in completing projects and producing reports.


Clearance:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employment.

Security Requirements/Background Investigation Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
  • Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
  • Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening.


Physical Requirements/Working Conditions :
  • Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees. Standing for prolonged and extended periods of time.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling : 0% - 10% of the time.
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
  • Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
