Sensoring & Monitoring Control Systems Cyber Consultant
Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Hybrid – 2–3 days/week onsite at the Pentagon)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance Required (TS/SCI Eligibility Highly
Preferred)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven Cyber Consultant – Sensoring & Monitoring
to join our team in support of the U.S. Air Force Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)
mission. In this role, you will help safeguard critical systems through advanced sensor
integration, threat intelligence analysis, and real-time cyber monitoring.
This position is ideal for professionals with 3–5 years of experience in cyber defense,
sensor technologies, and control systems monitoring who thrive in fast-paced,
mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
● Support Air Force DCO efforts by translating emerging threat intelligence into
operational monitoring strategies.
● Oversee the deployment, tuning, and health of cyber sensors such as IDCS and
VOLTRN+.
● Integrate and visualize threat activity using dashboard-based analytics tools and
platforms.
● Act as a technical liaison to DCO teams—bridging the gap between intel feeds
and actionable defensive postures.
● Conduct ongoing assessment of sensor effectiveness, signal fidelity, and
operational coverage.
● Ensure workforce alignment by mapping cyber monitoring roles and
certifications to evolving technical requirements and threat trends.
● Regularly access and operate within classified networks, including SIPRNet and
JWICS, in a secure onsite environment.
Required Qualifications
● 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably with direct exposure to
defensive cyber operations or security monitoring systems.
● Experience with control system sensors, particularly IDCS and VOLTRN+, or
similar DoD cyber monitoring tools.
● Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence workflows and techniques to
operationalize indicators and warnings.
● Strong understanding of dashboard-based analytic tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK,
Kibana) to inform real-time decision-making.
● Excellent communication and technical writing skills to translate complex data
into actionable insights for operations teams.
● Active Secret security clearance.
● Willingness and ability to be onsite at the Pentagon 2–3 days per week to
support secure system access.
Preferred Qualifications
● Active or eligible TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
● Hands-on experience with Air Force or DoD cyber sensor platforms.
● Relevant certifications such as CEH, CySA+, CISSP, GCIA, or GCTI.
● Prior exposure to SIPR/JWICS environments and classified cyber operations.
