TacC2 Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a TacC2 Specialist to join the US Space Force located in El Segundo, CA through 100% full onsite presence . The TacC2 Specialist will develop and field advanced cloud-based satellite command-and-control systems for the US Space Force, supporting space protection and mission execution across multiple programs. This role combines systems engineering, cloud architecture, and defense operations expertise in a high-impact, security cleared environment.

Responsibilities of the TacC2 Specialist include:

• Translate mission functions into TacC2 requirements: decompose tasking, collection, processing, exploitation & dissemination (TCPED) workflows into system needs
• Develop & field cloud-based command-and-control solutions, applying expertise in cloud architecture & deployment models (IaaS, Saas, PaaS)
• Perform systems engineering activities, including functional analysis, trade studies, and requirement allocation to produce deliverables like CONOPs, SOWs, TRDs, & ICDs
• Support technical program assessments, advising Government Program Managers on development progress, verification results and sustainment planning
• Ensure security compliance, aligning TacC2 systems with Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards & federal cyber requirements
• Deliver technical reports & briefings to government & industry stakeholders, communicating program status & recommendations
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in Space Domain Awareness & Combat Power initiatives, helping field next-gen satellite systems

Qualifications of the TacC2 Specialist include:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field
• 9+ years of experience (or 7+ with an advanced degree) in Tactical Command & Control systems
• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility; willing to undergo Polygraph exam
• Strong familiarity with TCPED workflows - tasking, collection, processing, exploitation & dissemination
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud-computing, virtualization technologies, & service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Background in Agile software development & aligning with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Prior experience with Space Domain Awareness & Space Control missions (preferred)
• Understanding of space warfighting operations (Offensive Actions, Defensive Actions) (preferred)
• Professional certifications (eg., INCOSE CSEP, ITREA CTEP, or Agile PM) (preferred)
• Familiar with US government acquisition & weapons system development environments

Compensation for the TacC2 Specialist includes:

• Salary Range: $160,000-200,000 **depending on experience**
