We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a premier federal client in Clarksburg, VA. Position Overview:
As a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will support the development and maintenance of a lifecycle security model to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical client information systems. You will coordinate with system owners and ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies, as well as provide expertise across a range of platforms and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation, management, and disposition of client systems and services in alignment with federal security requirements.
- Ensure information systems are maintained in accordance with applicable security policies and report incidents through appropriate channels.
- Leverage cybersecurity tools and systems such as:

- Joint Cybersecurity Authorization Management (JCAM)
- Telos Xacta
- GITLAB
- Atlassian JIRA & Confluence
- SharePoint
- Splunk
- BigFix
- Tenable Security Center
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline but Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of ISSO experience
- Proven experience with:

- NIST frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, RMF)
- OWASP standards
- DISA STIGs and guidance
- SANS Institute practices
- Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments
- Federal or state government information security experience
- Hands-on technical background in networking, system administration, or software development
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and virtualization
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies and security
Required Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) - strongly preferred
- Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) - preferred
