Data Intelligence, LLC is seeking a Senior Information Security Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting a premier federal agency in Clarksburg, VA. This hybrid role plays a critical part in securing mission-critical systems for the client organization by supporting the operations and maintenance (O&M) of a comprehensive lifecycle security model. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Information Security Specialist will support and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the client information systems, data, and services. Core responsibilities include:
- Support the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) by reviewing and recommending updates to governing documents within approved compliance tools.
- Identify, assess, and assist in mitigating security risks, threats, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses within client systems.
- Collaborate with system teams to review changes for compliance with federal security requirements.
- Ensure system resource access is granted appropriately and monitor for unauthorized access.
- Implement security measures to prevent the introduction and spread of malicious code or activity.
- Maintain IS security features such as logging, MFA, endpoint detection, and encryption.
- Troubleshoot access issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure Privileged Users (PU) complete required training.
- Create, modify, and manage user and service accounts and associated permissions.
- Apply security patches, updates, and enhancements to improve system posture.
- Review and suggest changes to System Security Plans (SSP).
- Monitor and analyze logs (system, security, audit) using tools like Splunk.
- Participate in Threat Hunting using approved tools.
- Support and participate in annual security training and incident response exercises.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in any discipline, but a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
- 6+ years of professional experience in information security.
- Strong understanding of:

- Federal and industry compliance standards: NIST, DISA STIGs, OWASP, SANS, Common Criteria.
- Networking, system administration, and Agile development environments.
- Security review and auditing using tools like Splunk.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent certification).
