About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for Trainer/Content Strategist to support a federal customer in the DC Metro area. This candidate will be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Trainer/Content Strategist: Responsible for understanding how to educate and train adult learners in the use of IT systems. Responsible for assessing customer support needs,storyboarding, and planning events, delivering resources in an effective and meaningful way, and assessing the effectiveness of support after it has been deliveredConduct employee training using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, including classroom-based learning, one-on-one training and remote learning
  • Design quality visual aid support for training sessions
  • Provide leadership, motivation and mentoring for all assigned training communication
  • Develop best practices for training that follow a carefully outlined process
  • Conduct ongoing audits to assess the use of best practices
  • Continuously conduct needs assessments to ensure accurate and effective training content
  • Conduct Training in our Corporate training classrooms or Virtual Classrooms
  • Stay up-to-date with training industry developments and trends
  • Manage administrative duties for training sessions, including scheduling and documentation
  • Proactively communicate with team members to efficiently achieve the Training Department's goals
  • Strong ability to work independently as a self-starter, but also contribute as a team player in the Training Department
  • Contribute to other trainings and projects in the Training Department on an as needed basis
  • Create and update Knowledge Articles, KB's and other documentation
  • Ability to work with Federal Government leadership and contractors

Qualifications

Education & Years of Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in English or liberal arts

Preferred Skills/Certifications:
  • Previous experience supporting federal government clients.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.

Min Citizenship Status Required: US Citizenship Required
