Responsibilities for the Facility Maintenance Manager:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and optimize facility CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Schedule and coordinate inspections, repairs, and service calls for critical systems to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine audits of facilities and systems to ensure adherence to standards, functionality, and safety.
- Manage daily building operations including lighting, utilities, waste removal, janitorial services, and environmental systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety and maintenance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support production needs and align facility operations with business priorities.
- Hire, train, and manage maintenance technicians and custodial staff.
- Develop team schedules, assign responsibilities, and provide coaching to ensure performance standards are met.
Qualifications for the Facility Maintenance Manager:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in facility or plant maintenance management, with at least 3 years in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, robotics, HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, and PLC-based equipment.
- Experience managing CMMS platforms and preventative maintenance systems.
- Demonstrated success managing compliance programs (e.g., OSHA, ISO, ANSI standards).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Building Operator Certification (BOC) is a plus.
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Frequently required to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in various environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, confined spaces, and around industrial equipment.
Compensation for the Facility Maintenance Manager:
- $140,000 - $150,000 *Depending on Experience.
