MANTECH seeks a customer-focused and experienced professional to serve as the Space Launch Delta 30 (SLD-30) Director and Program Site Lead at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in Lompoc, CA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team supporting the U.S. Space Force's Assured Access To Space (AATS) National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program.
You will be part of a dedicated team delivering full lifecycle engineering and integration support, ensuring mission readiness and innovation across a broad set of launch operations. This position requires technical insight, leadership acumen, and a commitment to excellence in managing multi-disciplinary engineering and operational functions.

You will be part of a dedicated team delivering full lifecycle engineering and integration support, ensuring mission readiness and innovation across a broad set of launch operations. This position requires technical insight, leadership acumen, and a commitment to excellence in managing multi-disciplinary engineering and operational functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the VSFB Site Lead managing SE&I team deliverables across launch and range engineering activities, including systems integration, launch support centers configuration and sustainment, and mission readiness.
- Support the SE&I-2 Program Manager and Deputy with program budget oversight, hiring coordination, personnel management, and delivery of monthly performance reports.
- Evaluate SLD 30 guidance governing launch and range operations for technical validity; assess operations for effectiveness and compliance; implement recommended revisions and improvements.
- Foster collaboration with SSC, SLD 30, and SLD 45 to ensure integrated operations, shared mission success, and implementation of enterprise-level tools and technologies.
- Provide technical evaluations for integrating new technologies within SLD 30 processes and tools; support procurement and integration of non-LTRS equipment and systems.
- Respond to taskings from external agencies and higher-level leadership, ensuring technical accuracy, cross-unit coordination, and development of strategic technical insights.
- Maintain awareness of West Coast business development opportunities; provide enterprise-level proposal support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 9+ years of experience in program management, acquisition, or contracting
- 5+ years of experience in Launch/Range, DoD, Aerospace, or NSSL mission management
- One or more of the following certifications: PMP, APDP Level III (PM), APDP Level III (Contracting), or equivalent
- Ability to travel up to 25% for mission-related activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of launch vehicle systems and experience working with the USSF and SSC
- Familiarity with senior Air Force/Space Force leadership in a program office setting and collaboration with SE&I teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, IT tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Mattermost, and SharePoint-like platforms
- Proven ability to address and resolve quality assurance issues
- Experience supporting integrated program environments and managing cross-functional tools and business applications
Clearance Requirements:
- An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
