We are seeking a Program Level Software System Engineer position supporting the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with a focus on Mission Command systems. The candidate in this role will work with both contractors, government civilians, and system operators. #MC
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include developing system-level features with an emphasis on THAAD integration into the Army Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), specifically focusing on describing MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria to guide software implementation. This role also involves leading feature reviews and adjudicating stakeholder comments. An MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) approach is employed to document these features within an Agile workflow.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area, or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field is required
- 7 or more years of system engineering experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: THAAD system, IBCS system, tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages
- Take initiative and be a team player in a small team environment
- Be capable of working in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that the software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users
- Be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles
- Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program
- Hands-on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF is desired
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence, and SAFe © Agile experience is a plus
