Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Lead. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge communication networks to support a DOD Airforce Program. This position is fully on-site in Hampton, VA and has Top-Secret Level Clearance.

Responsibilities of the CDS Lead include:
- Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) in compliance with NSA Raise the Bar (RTB), RMF, and DoD/IC security standards.
- Serve as the technical authority on CDS architecture, integrating technologies such as Radiant Mercury, OWL, Forcepoint, and custom-built guards.
- Oversee cross-functional collaboration with cybersecurity, network, and systems engineering teams to ensure secure and scalable CDS implementations.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability mitigation, and documentation development including Security Plans, ICDs, and SOPs.
- Act as the primary liaison with government sponsors, accreditation authorities, and mission partners to support system authorization and continuous monitoring.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead incident response efforts related to CDS operations and secure data transfer.
Qualifications for the CDS Lead include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , Electrical Engineering , or a related technical discipline.
- Over 15 years of experience in network engineering and secure systems architecture, with a strong focus on cross domain solutions , data transfer security, and classified network environments.
- Active Security+ (CompTIA) certification, demonstrating expertise in cybersecurity fundamentals and compliance with DoD standards.
- Certified Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) with advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and secure network design.
- Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility , supporting operations in highly classified and compartmented environments.
- Proven experience implementing and managing CDS technologies (e.g., Radiant Mercury, OWL, Forcepoint), and ensuring compliance with NSA Raise the Bar (RTB) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
