ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Operations Research Analyst to support our DoD contract out of Alexandria, VA.

The Operations Research Analyst (ORSA) will provide onsite support to government leadership in the Center for Special Operations Analysis for the Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO), OASD SO/LIC. The ORSA will analyze data, develop models, and provide insights to optimize processes, resource allocation, and strategic planning. ManTech is seeking an individual with a background and experience as an Operations Systems Analyst in support of a DoD organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leads the application of quantitative techniques to solve complex problems and rigorous
    methods of scientific inquiry and analysis.
  • Expert summarizing, visualizing and briefing large volumes of complex information and analysis to answer senior-level questions and inform decisions.
  • Develops data sources and analytical methods that suit the question to be answered or the decision to be informed, often roughly defined or open-ended.
  • Oversee the development of analysis of operational concepts to support force planning, development, and design efforts.
  • Plans, initiates, applies, and/or oversees the analysis of operational concepts and future concepts.
  • Conducts analysis to inform program development and budget formulation/justification processes.
  • Conducts wargames, models, and/or simulations to inform strategy, capability
    development, force design, and force management processes


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with a STEM or Operations Research discipline
  • Knowledge of operations research/systems analysis or related field to serve as subject matter expert and provide advice and guidance as senior leadership.
  • At least 5 years' experience in conducting research, supporting research programs, and generating research documents.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DoD organizations
  • Skilled at conveying complex ideas in clear, concise language
  • Understanding of AI and Machine Learning

Clearance Requirement:
  • Active DoD Secret with the ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI
