Responsibiliti es include but are not limited to:
- Leads and mentors a software development team, providing technical guidance for successful project delivery.
- Designs, engineers, analyzes, and develops complex software systems and DevOps pipelines, ensuring best practices and security.
- Models and analyzes software development processes, acting as a Scrum Master to optimize agile techniques, efficiency, and quality.
- Engages with Government leaders to define project scope, capabilities, roadmaps, and transformation plans.
- Develops agile-informed processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operations.
- Participates in the full SDLC, from requirements to deployment, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
- Conducts code reviews and provides feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Minimum Q ualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant discipline
- 9 years of professional experience.
- Expert-level understanding and extensive experience in designing, configuring, and managing complex network architectures, including routing, switching, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control.
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization and cloud networking concepts, with hands-on experience in cloud solutions (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet).
- Demonstrated expertise in securing classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS), implementing DISA STIGs, and ensuring compliance with DoD security policies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, RMF), risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience with cross-domain solutions and guards for secure information flow, plus knowledge of cloud computing security architectures (e.g., SCCA) in hybrid environments.
Preferred Q ualifications:
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification.
- Extensive experience in software design, development, and implementation across the full software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C, JavaScript), strong understanding of OOP and design patterns, and experience with various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and the ability to coach/mentor development teams.
- Experience in designing and implementing software architectures (e.g., microservices, monolithic) and analyzing/mode ling software development processes.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active/current TS/SCI security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
