Koniag IT Systems, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Application Architect with a Top Secret/SCI with Q security clearance to support KITS and our government customer in College Park, MD. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. This role is based on-site with the possibility of teleworking depending on project requirements.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- The Application Architect SME will provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and support to projects and teams working with the Application Architect software suite. The primary responsibilities include:
- Serve as the lead Application Architect expert, providing in-depth knowledge and guidance on the software's capabilities, configurations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and design appropriate Application solutions.
- Develop and implement Application Architect customizations, integrations, and enhancements to meet specific project needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex architecture issues, providing technical support and recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for project teams and end-users on application functionality and processes.
- Participate in the design, testing, and implementation phases of Application projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures related to Application Architecture.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and application releases, updates, and industry best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with 8 years of professional experience.
- Proven expertise in application data modeling, report development, and workflow automation.
- Experience working in a government or highly regulated industry environment is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of Application Architecture methodologies, including data modeling, reporting, workflows, and integrations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application architecture issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance (TS/SCI).
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge or Experience with HighView content management solution.
- Certification in an Applications Architecture platform such as AWS, Azure, etc.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
