Job Title: Purchasing Specialist
Location: Remote, FL
Job Responsibilities
The Purchasing Specialist will track purchase requests, quote materials, obtian funding approvals, and procure materials across the program.
- Maintain multiple spreadsheets tracking all procurement-related activities
- Ability to generate weekly and ad hoc customer reports
- Process purchase requests (PRs) in Cost Point
- Must have a general understanding of the FAR and DFAR
- Assist in developing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and supplier diversity
- Ability to maintain relationships with the customer, vendors, and internal management
- Ability to conduct market research to ensure fair and reasonable pricing
- Ongoing monitoring and proactive management of outstanding procurement actions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Collaborate with customers to understand their purchasing requirements
- Must have excellent communication and organization skills
Minimum Qualifications
- A n Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable).
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required .
- Able to travel to support mission up to 10%.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources , OR an Associate's degree plus seven ( 7 ) total years of recent specialized experience , OR eleven ( 1 1 ) year s of recent specialized experience.
