GDIT needs a Network Administrator to support our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program in Malatya Turkey.
The Network Administrator serves as a member of a small team providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support at an austere, remote location in Turkey. Network Operations team members provide the full complement of LAN/WAN/ICAN network services to a small military contingent large user, to include router / switch configuration, COMSEC, VOIP provisioning, DISA Node Site Coordinator (NSC) services, WAN circuit management, and patching / updating to meet cybersecurity requirements. The Network Administrator is also responsible for the installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cabling and communications equipment in Technical Rooms and data equipment racks to support Inside Plant / Outside Plant tasks as may be required.
As a member of a small work force at a remote location, the Network Administrator works alongside system administrators and Satellite Communications experts to meet all functional tasking requirements. To facilitate such, the willingness and ability to cross-train for those functional disciplines is a requirement and a key to success.
All tasks are accomplished while targeting a high level of Cybersecurity compliance across the network, ensuring DoD network assets remain properly configured, patched, and updated to mitigate cyber risks.
The Network Administrator will be required to work as part of a schedule providing 24/7/365 coverage across all functional areas for the site. As such, he/she may be required to work as the lone technician on any given shift to provide cursory services across a myriad of functional requirements outside of Network Operations.
Upon hire, the Network Administrator may begin work at an alternate location in Romania or Kosovo for 3-5 months while completing the application for the required Turkish work visa and residency permit.
