Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team supporting Cable and Harness and/or Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, be well-versed in MIL-SPEC standards, and apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to drive efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling.
Plan and implement sequence of operations for tool/equipment fabrication that impacts product performance.
Develop efficient layouts of machines and equipment in the plant to enhance productivity.
Adapt machine or equipment designs to fit factory and production conditions.
Integrate inspection and testing requirements into production workflows to ensure quality standards.
Monitor performance of machinery, tools, and equipment; investigate deficiencies and initiate corrective actions.
Apply and develop statistical process control (SPC) techniques where applicable.
Collaborate with design engineering to align design concepts and specifications with manufacturing best practices.
Ensure all manufacturing processes and procedures comply with applicable industry regulations and internal standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Proven hands-on experience in:
Cable and Harness assembly in accordance with IPC-WHMA-A-620.
Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) per IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
3–5 years of experience with MIL-SPEC Cable and Harness and/or CCA assemblies.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a defense/aerospace manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of quality assurance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with compliance standards relevant to military or government contracts.
