Job Description:
• Seeking a Laser Welder for a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. This is an exciting contract opportunity with potential for long-term employment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding small and micro parts, ensuring precision and quality in every project. This role involves working with advanced welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on various materials.

What You’ll Do:
•Perform laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals, using a variety of equipment such as automated machines, leak checking devices, and vacuum ovens.
•Utilize specialized equipment to perform laser welding of microelectronic assemblies, including automated laser welding machines, mechanical presses, and inert gas mixture gloveboxes.
•Troubleshooting of assemblies that do not pass leak checks and other various microelectronic assembly work will be part of the role
•Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instruction and drawings.
•Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
•Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes.
•Maintain, and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure reliable operation.
•Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes.
•Collaborate with teams members to improve throughput and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:
•Preferred experience with operating laser welding and TIG welding equipment to perform precision welds on small and micro parts.
•Basic computer skills required, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
•Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
•Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
•Knowledge of ESD procedures and machine equipment.
•Strong work ethic and a reputation for punctuality and reliability, with a desire to grow and learn in their role.
•High school diploma or GED required.
