Elucidation Concepts is seeking a skilled and experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of duties related to the security maintenance, design, and technical assessment of information systems within a classified customer environment. The ISSE will conduct technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. You will validate system security requirements, design and implement cybersecurity solutions, and assist architects and system developers in integrating appropriate information security functionality.
You will perform risk analysis and management, providing recommendations for security improvements to ensure compliance with government standards and the protection of sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams involved in the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and workforce structure to develop and implement secure system architectures and environments.
- Collaborate with customers and project team members to ensure security requirements are met.
- Support the government in enforcing trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
- Participate in security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities.
- Identify security requirements necessary for the proper handling of government data across multiple enclaves with differing classification levels.
- Design system and network solutions that meet complex security requirements and resolve identified vulnerabilities.
- Recommend and implement system-level solutions that address security requirements, ensuring integration and compliance.
Qualifications:
Clearance Level:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
Skill Level 2:
- Experience: Minimum of twelve (12) years as an ISSE on programs of similar scope, complexity, and type, including recent experience (within the last five years) with cybersecurity principles and technologies such as access control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, network, and enterprise security architecture.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university. Four (4) additional years of ISSE experience may substitute for a degree.
- Certification: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M requirements at the IASAE Level 2.
Skill Level 3:
- Experience: Minimum of twenty (20) years as an ISSE on programs of similar scope, complexity, and type, including recent experience (within the last five years) with cybersecurity principles and technology listed above.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university. A Master's degree in one of these fields may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing experience requirements to eighteen (18) years. Four (4) additional years of ISSE experience may substitute for a degree.
- Certification: Compliance with DoD 8570 requirements at the IASAE Level 3. Both the Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP certifications are required.
