Position Summary
The Partner Alliance Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and tactical execution of partnerships with vendors and distributors. This position plays a critical role in achieving business objectives for our Value-Added Reseller (VAR) business by establishing strong vendor relationships, optimizing alliance performance, and driving revenue growth. The Partner Alliance Manager role not only maintains current partnerships but also looks to the future, keeping the company competitive in an evolving technological landscape.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor management strategy in alignment with company objectives
- Identify market opportunities and potential partnerships that enhance the value proposition of the VAR portfolio
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of strategic vendor partnerships
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and vendor incentives
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulations
- Determine certifications needed and other requirements for establishing and maintaining vendor partnerships
- Liaise with internal teams and vendors to ensure that certifications are up-to-date and valid
- Collaborate with the pre-sales engineering team to utilize best-of-breed technologies in formulating tailored solutions that enable customer business objectives
- Provide the necessary technical and partnership insights to help the engineering team make informed decisions
- Monitor and evaluate up-and-coming technologies to ensure that our partner portfolio is updated with the latest technology offerings
- Recommend the inclusion of new technologies or vendors that align with strategic objectives and market trends
- Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and ROI of each alliance and create monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management
- Drive incremental revenue through co-selling and co-marketing activities
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing partnerships
- Maintain high-level executive relationships with vendors and partners
- Coordinate with various departments like Sales, Marketing and Engineering for partnership-related activities
- Mentor and train in inside sales team and coordinators on products and technologies within the portfolio
- Partner with Marketing to develop co-branded materials and promotional campaigns
- Participate in partner events and industry trade shows
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise in a partnership and escalate them as necessary
- Own the budget and P&L for alliance initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competition and emerging technologies to ensure that our partnerships remain competitive
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in alliance partnerships or business development, preferably in the technology sector
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM software
- Must have one or more sales certifications in Fortinet, Cisco or Microsoft
- Must have Managed Service and Managed Security Service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Network Engineering degree or background in Engineering

- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
