Responsibilities
- Write technical materials such as test reports, equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions
- May assist in layout work
- Create and maintain multiple documents associated with product deliveries including, but not limited to, Logistics, Configuration Management, Systems Engineering and Test for Domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS):
- Software Description Documents (SDD)
- Software Version Documents (SVD)
- Test and Evaluation (T&E) Test Plans and Interim Summary Reports (ISR)
- Interact with internal teams and customers to verify updates to Software User Manuals (SUM)
- Support recurring meetings with stakeholders regarding SUM versions for domestic and FMS use
- Assist with product release reviews
- Provide updates and review input for requirements, cyber, and integration documentation
- Help build templates for effective data management
- Collaborate with other functional teams to ensure consistency across program documentation
- Contribute to the creation of other ad-hoc documents as needed
Cybersecurity & Data Management Support
- Receive training to assist with Department of the Navy (DoN) Application and Database Management System (DADMS) submissions related to cybersecurity
- Monitor and maintain program system records using cybersecurity databases
- Review all active application components and verify status in DADMS
- Ensure all applications are current and not expired
- Update component records with DADMS ID, current status, and expiration details in program-related systems
- Maintain accurate information in program documentation tools
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-10 years of experience performing the duties described in the responsibilities section
- Experience performing technical writing tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, detail oriented
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Education
- Required: High school diploma
- Acceptable Substitutes: GED or vocational training aligned with the Department of Labor functional description
