Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer to join a National Defense Contract in Huntsville, AL through 100% on site presence . The Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer will support advanced radar simulation and electromagnetic testing for multiple aerospace programs. The Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer offers hands-on lab work with cutting edge systems like the DART facility where missile seekers meet hardware-in-the-loop simulations - and collaborate with a high-performance team on projects that span multiple programs with strategic impact.

Responsibilities of the Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer include:
- Develop & validate test system requirements for electromagnetic & RF components used in aerospace programs
- Design & integrate hardware/software architectures to support dynamic radar testing & simulation environments
- Perform modeling, simulations, and trade studies to optimize system performance & refine design environments
- Execute hands-on testing including vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum (TVAC) procedures in lab settings
- Analyze anomalies & apply root-cause corrective actions to maintain system reliability throughout lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal teams & customers to meet test objectives & provide technical consultation
- Operate within the DART lab, using specialized RF systems, LabVIEW interfaces, and real-time simulation tools
Qualifications of the Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer include:
- 1+ years of hands-on lab experience in electromagnetics or RF systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of RF theory & systems, including radar hardware & test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs)
- Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and/or FGPA design
- Active Secret clearance
- Familiar with LabVIEW, MATLAB, C++, or Python for test automation and data analysis
- Comfort working in a Linux environment & embedded programming/debugging
Compensation for the Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer includes:
- Salary Range: $100,000-120,000 **depending on experience**
