The VA - Endpoint Support and Monitoring (ESOM) contract is seeking a versatile and detailed-oriented IT Asset Management Lead. In this role, the individual will lead agile development efforts to successfully implement a Hardware Asset Management (HAM)/Software Asset Management (SAM) solution via a ServiceNow platform. You will lead a multi-disciplined team, inclusive of testers, business analysts, SNow developers, logistics analysts, and administrators. In this role, you will oversee requirements gathering, backlog refinement, and Agile delivery, requiring the need to partner with the HAM/SAM Project Manager, as well as customer stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader, with the ability to effectively communicate with varying stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a partner to customer stakeholders, effectively managing agile development efforts, with the ability to proactively articulate recommendations when obstacles and risks are identified.
  • Exhibits the ability to lead IT hardware (HW) asset, IT Software (SW) asset and logistics lifecycles for Mac and Windows ensuring optimal and secure operations.
  • Collaborates with the customer to define clear objectives, goals and SLA's for IT HW assets, IT SW assets, Logistics, ServiceNow and Asset data management.
  • Leverages ServiceNow data to oversee the development of PowerBI automated dashboards, tracking against specified KPI's associated with HW/SW asset management.
  • Exhibits collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with vendors to drive delivery.
  • Communicates escalation paths for specifications and dependencies to maintain the project baseline.
  • Partners with the HAM/SAM Project Manager to develop and present key deliverables to primary stakeholders; with the ability to effectively communicate key technical concepts to varying audiences.
  • Ability to lead meetings to effectively communicate progress, status, risks, innovations and opportunities.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support through regular review of Incidents, Service Tickets, Problem Management, etc.
  • Ability to effective plan, allocate and track resources, supporting upskilling of key staff members to support organizational growth.

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business or related scientific / technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).
  • 10 years of experience with IT asset management life cycle, IT project management methodologies and stakeholder management (e.g. Weekly Progress reports, Workplan, leadership).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing ServiceNow HAM/SAM projects, including understanding of lifecycle workflows, integrations, and license compliance.
  • Experienced people manager, with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead resources to meet delivery requirements.
  • Prior experience with implementation projects (preferably with ServiceNow), agile methodologies and the ability to deliver within cost, schedule and resource constraints.
  • Must have experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress. Must be able to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Effective communication, coordination and attention to detail across multiple levels to ensure consistent and unified messaging in large organizations.
  • Expertise in managing high-pressure situations, crafting messaging during crises, and mitigating communication risks.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills are a must, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned communication materials.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with Teams, but self-motivated to complete projects on your own.

Preferred:
  • ServiceNow Certifications (CSA, CIS-HAM, CIS-SAM)
  • Experience supporting a federal client.
  • Prior experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Section 508 conformance experience.
  • Experience with developing long-term asset management strategies and roadmaps that align with agency objectives, anticipate challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and congressional communication requests.
  • Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP), ITIL certification or equivalent.

  • US Citizen or Green card holder
  • Willing and able to get a Public Trust Suitability clearance
