Responsibilities
Millennium Corporation is hiring a Sr. Capture Manager in Arlington, VA. This is a hybrid position with up to 25% travel.
- Manages a portfolio of IT and Cybersecurity within the Capture team.
- Develops a robust plan to understand the customer's requirements and needs during the pursuit and capture phases.
- Leads planning sessions with the team focused on offensive/defensive cyberspace operations, agile software development (DEVSECOPS), artificial intelligence, data analytics, machine learning, and Red Team Operations
- Develops a comprehensive plan throughout the capture lifecycle.
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
- Leads Capture, Technical and Subcontract teams to support and win Proposal bids within the DoD.
- Prepares and executes opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, SWOT Analyses and proposal reviews.
- Develops teaming strategies to support requirements and gaps analyses.
- Works teaming agreements through final approval for assigned opportunities.
- Develops win strategies and proposal solutions to meet requirements of assigned opportunities.
- Completes capture plan artifacts such as call plans, capture data calls, capabilities matrixes, key personnel requirements, etc.
- Leads competitive analysis assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts.
- Leads the development and shaping approach for white papers, RFI responses, and other solicitation responses and proposal artifacts as assigned.
- Applies a practical application (including documentation) of the Millennium capture planning process and practices.
- Briefs the capture status to senior managers and company executives during specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur, and as needed.
- Conducts after action reviews for business opportunities, documents lessons learned, and makes necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
- Collaborates with the Millennium staff to sync the full range of capture and proposal support efforts.
- Mentor Program Managers and rotational program staff during the capture management process.
- Develops capture budgets for senior managers.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience in Capture Management within the US Department of Defense.
- A strong understanding of our programs, which include offensive/defensive cyberspace operations, artificial intelligence, data analytics, machine learning, and Red Team Operations.
- Strong Army experience to align with the portfolio needs but also open to broader DoD or federal backgrounds.
- Must be willing to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, to respond to and win business with new and existing customers.
- Experience leading teams in virtual and in-person environments.
- Ability to work with others that do not report directly to you.
- Technical writing and proposal development experience.
- An ability to relay concepts and plans to their financial outcomes and a clear understanding of LOE/BOE development.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience briefing corporate executives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA and/or financial experience to understand pricing and other quantitative complexities in large bids.
- Completed professional training in Capture Management.
- DHS experience is preferred.
- Top-Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel to U.S. cities to support customer visits and strategy workshops.
- Up to 25% annually.
