This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1)Fabricating, laying-up and curing a variety of composites for repair of flight components; 2) Reading, interpreting and applying blueprints, sketches, technical data, and engineering specifications; 3) Determining tooling requirements for fabrication of new assemblies and repair of composite of aircraft structures. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

- You will disassemble, overhaul, repair, replace and modify miscellaneous aircraft composite assemblies and/or parts.
- You will evaluate structural damage to determine if repair can be performed at the FRC at which located, or whether more in-depth overhaul is required.
- You will determine production methods, operational sequences and improvise production aids as required.
- You will provide technical assistance to shop personnel.
- You will investigate shop technical problems affecting production and apply corrective action, working with Engineer support personnel, as required.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
