Windows Server Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Elite Tiger Team
Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 DOE

Position Summary:
OSAAVA Services is seeking a Windows Server SME to join its Elite Tiger Team, supporting the IRES contract. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-level Windows Server infrastructure within classified environments. Your expertise will drive the stability and security of mission-critical systems that support national defense programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the senior technical advisor on Windows Server architecture, administration, and security.
• Lead Windows Server installation, configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting for both physical and virtualized environments.
• Design and implement Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy configurations for high-security networks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, including user access controls, encryption, and compliance with DISA STIGs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and system engineers to integrate Windows Server environments with security tools and protocols.
• Troubleshoot complex Windows Server-related incidents and perform root-cause analysis for Tier III/IV incidents.
• Design and implement server consolidation strategies, including migration to hybrid cloud environments.
• Provide leadership in designing, testing, and rolling out disaster recovery plans and business continuity procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret clearance (must be valid at time of application).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and architecture, including both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Windows security technologies (e.g., BitLocker, Windows Defender, Windows Firewall) and security hardening.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Hyper-V for server virtualization and high-availability architecture.
• Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, and DoD security requirements for Windows environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MCSE, MCSA, VCP, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and Windows Server integration.
• Strong skills with Automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform for Windows environments.
• Prior experience supporting DoD Tiger Teams or Rapid Response Task Forces.
