Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Elite Tiger Team
Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 DOE

Position Summary:
OSAAVA Services is seeking a Cybersecurity SME to join its Elite Tiger Team, a mission-critical unit supporting the IRES contract. In this high-impact role, you will lead and execute advanced cyber defense operations, vulnerability response, and security architecture analysis across classified enterprise environments. You will operate at the convergence of cyber operations, infrastructure protection, and secure engineering to defend national security systems from sophisticated threats.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the senior technical advisor on cybersecurity strategy, incident response, and system hardening.
• Perform threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and forensics on Tier III+ incidents in real-time.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement security controls compliant with DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs.
• Coordinate directly with network, cloud, and system SMEs to rapidly remediate security gaps and zero-day threats.
• Lead red/blue team exercises and tabletop simulations for mission-critical systems.
• Design Zero Trust implementations and secure enclave architectures aligned with DoD mandates.
• Brief leadership and author reports on cyber posture, risk status, and incident resolutions.
• Maintain documentation for all cybersecurity events, configurations, SOPs, and post-mortems.
Required Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret clearance (must be valid at time of application).
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, threat detection, or cyber defense operations.
• Deep expertise in security operations tools: SIEMs (Splunk, ELK), EDRs (CrowdStrike, Carbon Black), firewalls, and NAC.
• Experience with RMF, ACAS/Tenable, STIGs, and hardening systems across Windows/Linux platforms.
• Proven ability to lead high-stakes, time-sensitive security operations with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certifications: CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CISM, or GCIH.
• Experience with Zero Trust, secure enclave design, or cyber kill chain analysis.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including container security and IaC scanning (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Background supporting DoD cyber operations, red teams, or Tiger Team assignments.
