MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Buyer to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and technical teams to identify procurement needs and specifications
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Issue requests for quotes (RFQs), evaluate bids, and generate purchase orders in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure audit readiness
- Monitor supplier performance, address issues with quality, delivery, or compliance
- Manage the procurement lifecycle for both direct and indirect materials and services
- Ensure all purchases are compliant with company policies, government regulations, and contract requirements
- Assist in developing and improving procurement procedures and supplier management strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of technical procurement experience or equivalent education and years of experience in lieu of degree
- Understanding of suppliers and technical specifications
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and experience in DoD/government contracting
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of procurement regulations
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be US Citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
