💼 About the Role:
OSAAVA Services is seeking a Jr Cyber Defense Analyst / Incident Responder to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract. This role is ideal for early-career cybersecurity professionals ready to grow in a fast-paced operational environment, defending mission-critical systems against evolving threats.
🧭 Responsibilities:
• Perform Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) support
• Analyze, triage, and respond to cyber events and incidents (per CJCSM 6510.01B)
• Conduct incident response and forensic artifact analysis
• Support evidence preservation and maintain accurate incident records
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, and threat detection improvements
• Coordinate with insider threat, law enforcement, and CI teams as required
🎓 Minimum Qualifications:
• 2+ years direct cybersecurity experience
• 4+ years total work experience (can include education)
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP)
• Must obtain CSSP Analyst/IR certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+) within 6 months
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
✅ Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related discipline
• Familiarity with:
o Cybersecurity tools (IDS/IPS, SIEMs, ACAS/Nessus)
o Windows/Linux systems
o LAN/WAN, firewalls, proxies
• Exposure to SOC/DCO environments
• Eligible for TS upgrade
Special Access Requirement for this req is: NATO, CNWDI, & Restricted Data
💵 Compensation & Benefits:
• Base salary: $98,000 – $108,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Bonus/commission: Not applicable for this position
