Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an well qualified Systems Engineering Sustainment Deputy Lead for the Triton Enterprise in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego CA at the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence.
In this role the selected candidate will report to the Sustainment Program Manager and SEIT Production & Sustainment Lead and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEIT sustainment team across all Systems Engineering functions, including Requirements, Integration, Cyber, System Safety, E3, IFC development, and configuration management. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of programmatic milestones.
The sustainment effort is focused on fleet sustainment of a fielded UAS platform, primarily incorporating hardware/software updates to fielded assets. The position requires system thinking and strong knowledge of the engineering life-cycle processes including development, integration, test and configuration control. This will include both integration of new hardware/software updates to fleet assets as well as leadership of new build hardware/software capabilities and ensuring their successful integration into the Development and Production baselines. Candidate must exhibit strong communication skills (written and oral) and support coordination cross-IPT toward the goal of an effective, efficient program sustainment operation.

• Collaborate with Cyber Team to identify system patching efforts and coordinate build, testing, and delivery schedule for Program Manager and Chief Engineer
• Provide technical leadership across program functions demonstrating ownership of system design

Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in a STEM discipline with at least 8 years of experience or MS degree in STEM discipline with at least 6 years of experience OR PhD in STEM discipline with at least 4 years of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a final DoD Secret clearance
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Knowledge of engineering change processes (e.g. CCB)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience throughout program lifecycle, especially in Sustainment and Development activities
- Previous experience in IFC management
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and/or previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering and Design processes
- Experience in cyber disciplines, especially fleet level patch management
- Familiarity working with military specifications/standards
- Experience developing proposals
- Demonstrated cross functional leadership and coordination skills
- Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills
- Active Top Secret clearance
