Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer Data Analytics Simulation. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

The Principal Industrial Engineer will leverage industrial engineering principles and data analysis to optimize production processes and improve facility layouts. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure maximum efficiency and effective project execution in a dynamic aerospace defense environment.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Develop and analyze both deterministic and simulated system-level statistical models to report key performance metrics and suggest actionable improvements in cost and time.
- Estimate capacity based on efficiencies, standards, and constraints, interacting with manufacturing flows on the shop floor and across the global supply chain.
- Design and optimize factory and facility layouts for efficient space utilization.
- Apply fundamental Industrial Engineering methods to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate with programs and functional organizations from individual contributors to executive staff, interpreting and presenting manufacturing and scheduling requirements.
- Develop detailed presentations for upper management, documenting, tracking, and monitoring problem resolutions effectively.
- Visualize and layout manufacturing routings using flowchart tools and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Visio).

Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with 5 years of relevant experience, Master's Degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 years.
- Must be a US Citizen with an U.S. Government DoD Interim Secret security clearance prior to start
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Experience working in the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) phases of a program.
- Knowledge of SAP MRP, AutoCAD, and FlexSim (or similar discrete simulation programs).
- Previous experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
- Experience conducting Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with suppliers.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to create and automate Industrial Engineering performance metrics.
