Summary:

Essential Functions/duties:
Manage security and access control of laboratory spaces to ensure only authorized personnel gain access to managed laboratory spaces, and that all visitors are recorded in the visitor’s logbook.
Maintain a schedule for opening and closing of laboratory in support of operations. Conduct opening and closing of spaces during working hours in accordance with laboratory management policy. Coordinate with lab personnel to provide alternative opening and closing personnel during special events.
Conduct inventory control of laboratory equipment by serial number and/or digital tag to ensure the possession and location of all incoming and outgoing laboratory equipment is recorded.
Maintain accountability of all equipment assets in laboratory spaces to include Consolidated Memorandum Report (CMR) and Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) items.
Induct equipment into maintenance as required and track status from induction through completion of corrective action or replacement.
Inventory all laboratory equipment assets including CMR accounts to verify accuracy and to maintain accountability.
Manage CMR accounts for laboratory equipment and report CMR findings to include addition and removal of equipment to the Responsible Officer (RO).
Maintain proper accountability, security, control, and disposition of Communications Security (COMSEC) material on Electronic Key Management System sub-custody accounts.
Report and track maintenance service requests for building/laboratory environments with the MCTSSA Logistics section to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Conduct market research for upgrading and/or replacing non system lab equipment.
Attend weekly operations synchronization meetings, ensuring laboratory set up and support for planned events.
Perform functions under minimal supervision.
Additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Required Qualifications and Skills include:
Must be able to perform with minimal supervision
Proficiency with computers
Experience with access control and asset management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional manner and a strong ethical code
Exceptional time management and ability to multitask
Education/Experience include:
Minimum of 5 years of experience
A bachelor’s degree in science may substitute for 3 years’ experience
Relevant experience can come from a variety of fields: logistics inventory management, protocol officer, executive administration, field support analyst, operations support, mission readiness, and other jobs requiring situational preparation and coordination with staff and a constantly changing user base.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a regular exempt, full-time position. Salary is $68,640.
Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Use of standard office equipment such as scanners and printers, phones, and laptops. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Clearance Type:
Requires an active SECRET security clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
