Northrop Grumman is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Material Control Support 2 to join our team in Buffalo, NY. This role is critical in supporting daily inventory control operations, ensuring accurate material tracking, proper documentation, and effective communication with cross functional departments such as Production Planning, Operations Program Management, Quality Control, and Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of inventory processes, strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and ability to work unsupervised, multitask, work in a cross functional team, pay attention to detail, and able to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range: $38,200.00 - $63,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Material Control Support 2 to join our team in Buffalo, NY. This role is critical in supporting daily inventory control operations, ensuring accurate material tracking, proper documentation, and effective communication with cross functional departments such as Production Planning, Operations Program Management, Quality Control, and Manufacturing.
What you'll get to do:
- Compile records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
- Requisitions needed supplies; verify material received to determine irregularities in order; inspect articles and reject defective ones.
- Prepare inventory records, report, and investigate discrepancies in stock counts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, cycle counting, receiving, storing, issuing, and physical movement of material.
- Assist in resolving issues related to inventory, receiving, and shipping.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with 2 years of material control, inventory, stockroom, warehouse, or similar experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Current valid driver's license with the ability to drive between Amherst building locations based upon need.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP experience.
- Experience working with ESD sensitive components.
- Experience using microscope and tweezers.
- Experience driving a forklift or working with an overhead crane (Forklift Certification).
- Experience with Shipping and Receiving.
- Aerospace, defense, or manufacturing inventory practices experience.
- MS Office products - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
