Kentro is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Sr. Business Analyst to focus on VA's Direct Messaging products and their nationwide expansion to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide operations services in support of the Oracle Health Federal Electronic Health Record (FEHR) Direct and legacy VA Direct (Messaging) (VistA) solutions. We support standardizing workflows between VA Medical Centers and External Provider Organizations, implementation of use case requirements, sustaining or enhancing existing connections and contribute to national strategy expansion.

Program Overview:

Veterans Health Information Exchange (VHIE) provides the tools VA clinicians use to seamlessly and securely access the information they need to coordinate care for our Veterans. Direct Secure Messaging, known internally as VA Direct, is a VA-wide web tool allowing VA staff to securely send and receive VA health information with participating providers who are a part of the DirectTrust Network . It eliminates the burden of administrative tasks such as faxing, mailing, or hand-delivering health information.

Responsibilities:

VA Direct and VHIE Program Support
  • Develop project artifacts and maintain in SharePoint; support maintenance SharePoint updates (as required by the business office)
  • Provide meeting support, including scheduling, facilitating, preparing agendas, capturing meeting minutes, and conducting follow-up on action items
  • Facilitate business requirement development to include documenting business needs and tracking through implementation
  • Identify, track, and manage risks and issues
  • Communicate to project stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Provide inputs to Product Strategic Plans and National Strategy Expansion
  • Develop relationships and collaborations with VA medical center staff, VA Direct Office of Information Technology (OIT), and community care staff or external provider organizations
  • Maintain or develop Use Case Workflow documentation
  • Develop progress reporting in accordance with program deliverables and program manager expectations

VA Direct Use Case Implementation and Sustainment
  • Facilitate use case implementations, including issue management, post go live support and validation
  • Create processes for assessing readiness and prioritization
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules to include all tasks and dependencies associated with planning, execution, post go live support and sustainment
  • Coordinate with external provider organizations, use case reviews, documentation, action items and next steps
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvement, to include technical or operational workflow needs
  • Work collaboratively with VHIE Engagement and communications on training material, education and after actions, as needed
  • Provide issue management support and ticket evaluations and recommendations
  • Assess areas of potential risk and provide recommendations to change processes and/or offer other solutions for mitigation
  • Construct methods for determining use case successes or opportunity for improvement
  • Perform analysis to inform future plans and strategy

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or minimum of five years' experience in health information exchange
  • Demonstrated business system analyst experience that includes interfacing with internal and external customers and client relationship management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate upwards with leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and workplace organization
  • Must be an initiative-taker; able to work effectively with limited oversight
  • Value teamwork, demonstrate integrity and honesty, are passionate, innovative and strive for excellence
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suite of Tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working directly with Department of Veterans Affairs customers / healthcare providers
  • Experience with health information exchange technologies or networks, specifically Oracle Health (pka Cerner), External Provide Organizations or Frameworks

Clearance:
  • Must be willing and able to maintain a Public Trust Tier 2 Clearance or higher.
