Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer III to join our client's team in Englewood, CO, Plano, TX, or Dayton, OH. Our client is a firm that researches, designs, develops, tests, certifies, deploys, and improves cutting-edge products and services, ranging from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. This is a Contract role offering the opportunity to conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle and contribute to advanced aircraft modification projects.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer III:
Receive and implement requirements from systems and flight test engineering organizations.
Interpret flight test equipment electrical interface control documents to determine system interconnection requirements.
Select interconnection components (connectors, wire, cable, backshells, splices, harness supports, etc.).
Create system wiring diagrams, harness assembly drawings, and harness bill of materials.
Ensure aircraft safety is not degraded by the implementation and installation of the wiring system.
Coordinate with mechanical engineers for the installation of flight test and wiring systems.
Provide liaison support for the flight test instrumentation team.
Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer III:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline.
6+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering. Proficiency in Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Experience with logical and harness design CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, ECAD, Capital Logic, HarnessXC, Zuken). Familiarity with use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., 3DExperience, Enovia SmarTeam, Teamcenter).
Familiarity with system safety principles and hazard mitigation methods.
Design experience with large transport category aircraft (14 CFR, Part 25).
Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, including model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Strong communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate interconnection systems requirements to other engineering disciplines.
