About the role
Concept Plus is seeking a skilled and motivated self-driven Junior System Administrator (SA) to support a software modernization effort for client operations. The project uses Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices to ensure consistent, secure, and timely delivery of mission-critical capabilities.
In this hybrid role based in Montgomery, AL, the Junior System Administrator will support infrastructure design and development activities, assist in day-to-day operations, and contribute to overall IT system security and stability. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically capable, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and security-driven environment.

About the role

What you'll do
You will be working with a skilled team in an agile environment to support an application modernization effort where you will be expected to:
- Assist in configuring, and supporting cloud-based services and infrastructure for a Cloud-native application
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for remote users
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues proactively
- Apply patches and security updates in alignment with organizational and DoD standards
- Work closely with technical teams to perform testing as needed
- Work closely with technical teams to implement secure system improvements that meet cybersecurity compliance requirements
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners
- Help to create and maintain accurate technical documentation (SLAs, SDDs, SOPs, etc.)
- Participate in project-based work with senior IT staff in Agile and DevSecOps settings
Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a closely related field; An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience
- 1-3 years of experience in System Networking or system support, preferably in a DoD or government contracting environment
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking (IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess an Interim Secret or Secret Clearance to start
- Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments preferred
- Experience working with AWS preferred
- Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and cybersecurity compliance in federal/defense settings preferred
