OVERVIEW:
Dorrean is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Intermediate Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and business objectives, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Devise and implement procedures to solve complex business and system challenges.
* Conduct business and user needs assessments and translate findings into detailed system requirements and technical documentation.
* Provide strategic consultation on high-impact projects, considering both current operations and long-term technology implications.
* Perform financial and data analysis in support of IT investment management, including reviews of major IT business cases and enhancement requests.
* Align IT investments with enterprise business architecture (e.g., ZBRA), identifying gaps and opportunities to increase transparency and efficiency in IT spending.
* Conduct and document market research, analyze industry trends and procurement vehicles, and recommend sourcing strategies.
* Support IT Category Management, IT Portfolio Analysis, IT Capital Planning, and Service Management initiatives.
* Analyze and improve IT business processes, service delivery models, and cost structures.
* Participate in requirements gathering and prioritization to support system implementation and integration efforts.
* Demonstrate customer service excellence while engaging with diverse stakeholders across multiple acquisition stages.
* Utilize federal financial and procurement systems effectively to inform decision-making and reporting.
* Experience working with federal acquisition frameworks including NASA SEWP, GWACs, and SAM.gov.
* Hands-on experience with IT financial systems and reporting tools.
* Demonstrated knowledge of IT Capital Planning, Category Management, IT Service Delivery, and Portfolio Management principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Five (5) years of business analytics experience. Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has eight (8) years of experience.
* Ability to present information and respond effectively to sensitive issues.
* Ability to solve problems involving complex situations.
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
