Software Engineer - (FRSWE1-002-005)
Country Intelligence Group is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to support our client at Fort Meade, MD, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of advanced software solutions within RF and SIGINT systems. This role emphasizes full lifecycle software development in high-speed, mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will lead or support agile teams delivering scalable, containerized microservices and modern API solutions, working collaboratively with systems engineers and end users to exceed functional and performance requirements.
Tasks Performed:
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project.
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes and investigate problem areas.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED with at least 11 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Vue JS UI experience.
• RF or SIGNIT System experience.
• Container and container orchestration experience.
• GitOps – agile Dev(Sec)Ops using Gitlab experience.
• API development experience.
• Experience with Linux/Unix command line.
• Certified Kubernetes administrator (Preferred).
• High-speed networking and network protocol experience (Preferred).
Other Job Requirements:
• Minimum Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship, and successful background check.
• Location: Fort Meade, MD (60% Telework Allowed)
