JOB TITLE: SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading a manufacturing and industrial team to drive process improvements and ensure the highest quality of production. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise and leadership skills to develop tooling and fixtures, analyze part designs for manufacturability, and resolve production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams including, production, quality, and engineering. This is a high-impact role responsible for enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and supporting the successful scale-up of new and existing products into full-rate production.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
- Develop tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support all levels of the production process .
- Analyze part drawings to confirm they conform to design-for-manufacturability principles.
- Lead Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering team
- Collaborate with manufacturing planning teams to define capacity planning actions to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Develop production and test methodologies and implement best practices to enable scaling production capabilities for larger, more complex products
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, changes, and improvements.
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as ne cessary or re quired .
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Production Engineering , Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in production engineering within the aircraft manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), DFM/DFA principles, tooling and fixture designs, and production ramp up.
- Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems such as Deltek CostPoint , TipQA , and manufacturing process simulation tools.
- Experience driving process improvements in a manufacturing setting
- Experience leading and managing teams on fast-paced, complex projects.
- Strong understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards .
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exposure to aircraft programs or other relevant aerospace & defense technologies.
- Knowledge of AS9100, PFMEA , Statistical Process Control .
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate tools or to make adjustments and repairs .
- Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
