What You Will Do:

As a Telecommunication Technician, you will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for voice, video, and conferencing systems in a high-demand enterprise network environment. You'll configure and troubleshoot user profiles in Skype for Business, Active Directory, and voicemail systems, as well as support endpoint installations and removals. Your role will also include responding to security incidents and working directly with customers to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for the configuration, troubleshooting, installation, and removal of voice and video endpoints.
  • Support the configuration and troubleshooting of user profiles within Skype for Business and Active Directory.
  • Create, modify, and remove voicemail user profiles on the voice infrastructure.
  • Configure voice and video conferencing systems to meet user and enterprise requirements.
  • Respond to and resolve security incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Track and manage all tasks and incidents through the SupportIT ticketing system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with end users and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in voice, video, and conferencing environments.
  • Experience managing user profiles and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of Skype for Business or similar unified communication platforms.
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation practices.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Education and Experience:

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED and 19+ years of relevant technical experience
    OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 14+ years of relevant IT experience
Certifications:
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher is required.
  • Additional telecom or unified communications certifications are a plus.
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
